O’Neil Gamble, Vera Lorraine (nee Marchen) 1935-2016. Went to heaven peacefully, surrounded by her family at home on Thursday, March 3, 2016 in her 81st year after a valiant battle with cancer. Predeceased by her first husband Reginald Earl O’Neil (1999) and second husband Rev. Robert Gamble (2003). Beloved daughter of the late Fred and Madele Marchen. Loving mother to Kathy Tallen (late Chris), late Fred (late Janet), Laurie Head (David), Chris (Alison), Aaron (Angela), Rob (Janet), Elaine Salaam (Sam) and Jason (Melissa Sammon). Dear grandmother to Tammy (Jimmy), Blaine (Melissa) and Angela (Sean Cadeau) Tallen; Nathan (Teri) and Kyle (Holly) O’Neil; Jeremy and Matt Head; Dana and Leah O’Neil; Andrew and Zachary O’Neil; Troy and Kain (Danielle) O’Neil; Isaac, Adam, Rachel and Joshua Salaam; and Jessica (late) and Elizabeth O’Neil. Great grandmother to Rodney, Brodey, Riley, Sheamus, Meadow (late) and River Tallen; Brianna, Lynsey and Tori Cadeau; Phoenix, Keagen and Mia O’Neil; Ty and Carlee O’Neil; and Sawyer O’Neil. Sister to Alice Marchene (late Norman Stewart, late Kenneth Hartwick), Donald Free (Marilyn), Bruce Free (Denise); sister-in-law to Francis Benjamin (late Glen), Gayle Hammond (Jim), late Dorothy Rogers (late Nile) and Eileen (Whan) Moore (late Glen), step sister to Elswood Gamble (late Lilian), Florence Schamehorn (late Harry). Step children late Randy (Linda) Gamble, Sharon Rice (Paul) and Michele Gamble. Vera will also be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends at thePAUL G. PAYNE FUNERAL HOME, MAIN ST., ODESSA, 613-386-7373 on Tuesday the 8th from 5 – 8pm. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11am in the Odessa Free Methodist Church with Rev. A. Lasher & Rev. G. Coates officiating. Interment Union Cemetery in Bath. As expressions of sympathy the family would appreciate donations to either the International Children Care Ministry or the Cornerstone Christian Academy.
