Obituary of Glendon Wellington Redden
It is with great sadness the family of Glendon Redden announce his peaceful passing at home on Thursday, October 24, 2024. He was a man of character and honor who had many passions - his love of horses, farming and antique cars to name a few. No passion was deeper than his love of family – He leaves behind his cherished wife of 68 years Laurena Redden (née Eves), his three children Debra Smith (Ralph), Duane Redden (Bernadette) and Marlene Hawley (Tom). Forever loved in the hearts of his 8 grandchildren and their spouses, Scott, Jamie, Melissa, Amanda, Jessica, Tanya, Kevin and Sarah, along with 13 great grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents Derwood and Alita Redden and sister Jean Gunter. Survived by sisters Doreen Heaslip (Bob) and Irene Ferguson (Robert), and brother-in-law Clarence Gunter. Fondly remembered by several nieces, nephews and many friends. Glendon and Laurena loved spending time with their friends and family, whether at dances or at home with a friendly game of cards.
Family and friends will be received at Payne Funeral Home in Odessa on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 from 10 – 11 am. Funeral Service will follow at 11 am. Interment Harrowsmith Cemetery. For those desiring, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Golden Links Hall in Harrowsmith would be appreciated by the family.
